POST WORKSHOP UPDATE— 23 December 2003

Dear Mountains Workshop team,
It is our pleasure to provide this brief update on our progress report on our work progress.

The Book
Dave Harmon and I are happy to advise you that action with the production of the book is proceeding and is on time.
Action underway is:

· Dave is finalizing the editing
· The introductory chapter for the Book has been written by Larry Hamilton and me
· The maps are being drawn

We anticipate the Drakensberg book to be published on time about mid next year.

Principles and Practice
The authors of the book Protected Area Management Principles and Practice have received most of the contributions and are working on them. Graeme still has a little bit of follow up to do for some information. The manuscript for this updated book goes to Oxford University Press on May 1st 2004.

Mountains Guidelines
Larry Hamilton is working on these currently.

Thanks to you, the Mountains team, we will have some wonderful new products to help with the management of mountains!
